Why Western Media Hate the People
Book Review of 'The Devouring Mother' by Simon Sheridan
Australian author Simon Sheridan has written an extraordinary book explaining the Covid Pandemic™ titled The Devouring Mother: The Collective Unconsciousness in the Time of Corona. A Devouring Mother is a mother who doesn’t want her children to become independent, especially her sons. Children of devouring mothers are really born orphans (because the mother doesn’t really love them). They have only two choices: either obey the mother or rebel against her.
According to Sheridan, three rebels arrived at the Western scene between 2016 and 2020: President Donald Trump, Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson, and to some extent, British Premier Boris Johnson. They each rose to stardom by leading the rebellion against the Devouring Mother, the Nanny State, Mommy Mainstream Media, or simply against Hillary Clinton.
Indeed, the mainstream media in the European Union and in the Five Eyes nations play the role of a Mother who is dependent on her own children for comfort. The Mother is the Western elite who cannot live without people obeying the. But the people no longer want to obey, they rather want to drain the swamp.
Globalization has wrecked Western economies. A large part of American and European economies is now “fake”, says Sheridan, who points out that 40% of our jobs nowadays are bullshit jobs that add no value whatsoever. People stuck in bullshit jobs feel useless. They are the obedient children of the Devouring Mother. Because they depend on employment by the Nanny State, they can never become truly independent.
And that is what Covid really was about. During Covid, the people with real jobs—people who do real work—revolted against the people with fake government jobs. We say the best example of this is when the Canadian Truckers revolted against the city of Ottawa, where Trudeau’s government is seated. The salaried class panicked and soon ordered the military and police forces to break up the Trucker Convoy.
Covid revealed a struggle between people who wish to live independently and people who either can’t or don’t want to. The followers of Jordan Peterson, too, are mostly young men who grew up with Devouring Mothers. These men want to become independent—by cleaning their own rooms, for example. And by starting their own lives. This threatens the power base of the Devouring Mother who only cares about having total control.
As in a mother with Munchhausen Syndrome by Proxy, the Devouring Mother then responded to the Rebellion (Trump, the Truckers, Peterson, etc.) by inventing a fake pandemic. In the end, the fake medical threat floored Peterson (who took the jabs) and Trump (who eventually submitted to the mask mandates).
After the Rebels were defeated, then, Greta Thunberg appeared as the personification of the Devil, as the artificially rising star of the salaried class, out to punish the disobedient children.
But the struggle for autonomy continues. Western economies are dying, yet Western elites aren’t ready to let go of their imprisoned populations. Like the Devouring Mother, Western elites (especially through their media control) demand that people continue to submit to her authority.
The people who wish to live free—deplorable and unjabbed—are at war with the servile class of professors and journalists. I believe this war shall enter a phase of escalation. Whether NATO armies succeed in colonizing Russia or not, the days of Western elites telling us what to do are counted. The people shall overthrow the oppressive regime and break free from this mental slavery.
