Why Aren't We Colonizing the Arctic?

The Final Frontier

This week, a Hungarian documentary presented the first close-up footage of Russia’s floating nuclear power plant that keeps small workers’ towns warm in the Arctic cold. Russia’s Rosatom is employing thousands of citizens in the Arctic where they come to work in 3-month shifts.

With rising temperatures, gold mining and oil drilling around the North Pole has become a booming business. Why is the West falling behind?

Imagine that the Antarctic ice was to melt. It would reveal a fertile landmass the size of Europe. If temperatures keep rising, Greenland’s inland also becomes habitable, eventually revealing lush green pastures. Greenland is about the size of Central Europe. Other places, too, may become considerably more habitable, such as Siberia (also the size of Europe), Northern Canada, Northern Scandinavia, and Northern Russia.

The prospect of new land means there will be pioneers and colonizers ready to dig in and settle down. Today, Russia is that pioneer. Why doesn’t Canada follow suit? Why doesn’t Norway? Russia has several nuclear-powered icebreakers to keep the Northern Sea Route ice-free, whereas Canada presently has none to open up the Northwest Passage.

These sail routes may prove crucial in a global economy where goods from Europe and China are still passing through the Suez Canal. The Northern Sea Route, under Russian control, is much shorter, and so would be the Canadian-controlled Northwest Passage.

But lack of funding isn’t the only reason the West isn’t funding more Arctic exploration. The West is actually betting on curbing “climate change” in hopes of reversing the rising temperatures, keeping the North Pole frozen. An ice-free North implies Russia and China may together seize global power, as Russia wins both new pastures and new trade routes.

Indeed, the so-called “Climate Scare” program peddled by the Extinction Rebellion, Greta Thunberg, or Germany’s Last Generation is all just paid Western propaganda to try to reduce Western industry in hopes of curbing rising temperatures. It is unlikely to work out since China can simply open up more coal mines to continue heating up the planet.

What will happen, though, is the complete and total destruction of the German economy under the false pretext of climate change. If the USA can’t prevent the North Pole from thawing, perhaps they may prevent an alliance between Germany and Russia, and between Germany and China.

For this reason, Western Europeans in particular, and white people in general ought to start fantasizing about colonizing the Arctic. The Arctic is our Final Frontier. Here, in the North, we may preserve our peoples and our cultures. We make stake it out basking in the low-hanging Sun while Africans overrun Europe.

With patience, one day, we shall return to reclaim our Lost Continent.
