Mr Putin is a man for all seasons, but in particular, this one. I question his reputation for authoritarianism, a quiet and mostly unknown committee of 3 assesses policy, things are quite well-considered before becoming law. His education is stellar, I believe he uses it to best effect daily. I've studied him for over a decade now, there's a lot there, especially much more than the western propaganda dispensers would have us know and understand. Messrs Lavrov and Peskov are quite able, and Ms Zakharova is a Force.
I suppose the West exaggerates "our democracy versus their autocracy" but in Putin I see an authority of competence opposed to the West's hysteria-by-media
