Dumb and Dumber: Leftist Theories of Oppression
In the book Domination and the Arts of Resistance by late professor James C. Scott, the author stated the two dominant theories of oppression. These are 1) a thick theory of oppression, namely by using hegemonic force against minorities, and 2) a thin theory of oppression, namely by cultivating a false consciousness among the oppressed using media and education.
I argue that leftist thinkers such as James Scott (whose other books about States and statism I very much appreciated) have to ignore natural disparity in order to justify their belief in equality and oppression.
Therefore, I propose another theory of oppression, namely: 3) the fat simpleton theory of self-victimization.
A sub-Saharan black man from England once visited a restaurant in Bulgaria. But the white female waiting staff refused to serve him, even though he tried getting their attention.
Rush to the headline conclusion: “The innocent black man was oppressed by racist white supremacist Bulgarian women, and all because of the color of his skin!”
Upon hearing this story, as told by the black man to yours truly, I decided to visit said racist Bulgarian restaurant. I seated myself and tried getting the white waitresses' attention. But they refused to serve me. Thereupon, I got the attention from a bartender who brought me the menu.
I placed my order with the bartender and—lo and behold—the female servers now brought me my food, and took my payment later.
But the females didn’t speak to me, and refused eye contact. The reason? They couldn’t speak a word of English. And they felt so ashamed of their linguistic handicap that they feared serving foreigners.
Quietly slip in the errata on page 5: The Bulgarian women weren’t racist at all. They were extremely shy women who didn’t know how to deal with a language barrier, and so chose to avoid all foreign-speaking customers.
I guess the women could have used more formal training. But nothing they did constituted a crime.
In this situation, clearly, there was no evil hegemonic oppression being lodged against anyone by anyone. There was no evil system of planting a false consciousness in anyone, either.
It was a simple situation of two shy servers not knowing what to do.
So why did the black man instantly conclude he was being discriminated against on the basis of the color of his skin? Why didn’t he try getting the bartender’s attention like I did?
My theory of oppression explains why: The black man was a fat simpleton who had sabotaged himself into believing he was the victim.
Notice that the black in the story was the only racist (apart from myself, of course). If every time you encounter a social misunderstanding involving white people, and you conclude the Whites were racist, then you’re the racist.
It is racist to accuse white people of racism for no reason.
But the leftist conspiracy theorists who cooked up the nonsense theories of oppression didn’t just stop there. They have ever since been on a psychotic crusade against the figments of White Supremacy.
They are, and have long been, seeking to overturn this perceived oppression. Not to make things equal, but to reverse the perceived inequality.
It is the leftists who are employing their modus operandi of 1) cultivating a false consciousness of White guilt / White Supremacy / White colonialism / racism, and 2) using Black Lives Matter members as their storm troopers to violently threaten White people into submission.
And it’s not even working! White people aren’t susceptible to the trickery, leading to hilarious explosions of incompetent black rage.
When white men are depicted as stupid in commercials, we know it doesn’t reflect the reality. It also doesn’t anger us because we are confident.
When white man Daniel Penny was arrested for “killing” Jordan Neely (the black mentally ill thug harassing old women on the NY subway), we all knew Penny was the real hero.
Not so with George Floyd (the drug addicted misfit criminal). Everybody, even black people, knew that Floyd was no good. But they made Floyd their hero anyway because black culture is a culture that worships male degeneracy.
Black culture is matriarchal by nature, and in matriarchal cultures, males have to be socially neutered in order to prevent them from forming a patriarchy. Thus, back culture has to worship misfits and degenerates in order to instill—wait for it—a false consciousness among black men.
Black men, like the man I met in Bulgaria, certainly suffer from a false consciousness, but the Hegemonic Oppressor is not the White Man. The oppressor is the black man’s mom, who yells at her son and beats him over the head.
It’s just easier to blame White people for “oppression” than to blame oneself for being a fat simpleton.
And yes, there is a hint of supremacy in people who remain confident in the face of rejection.
